What is HealthQuest, the organisation?

Launching HealthQuest [HQ] represents a significant step in the development of a new kind of medical service in Australia, one which is aimed at both meeting primary health care needs in creative and relevant ways and also bringing together aspects of medicine and health-care into a model which shows the way for future practice in clinical, community and corporate fields. It represents innovation in health service delivery as well as in the rationale for those services.

The Australian community has shown a readiness to endorse and use an approach to health-care which departs from mainstream to some significant extent to embrace a broader and more viable style of practice aimed at patient education and empowerment, proactive strategies which create and maintain health and wellbeing, and a thoroughgoing preventative posture. This engages, of necessity, a wide spectrum of health-care research and practice modalities into an integrative and holistic approach.
